True North Community Church

Bert CrabbeTrue North Community Church is a new congregation begun in a building that once housed one of the early churches planted by the "Go Ye" Chapel Mission, the precursor to Orchard Group Church Planting.

Bert Crabbe, a New York native, gathered a team of capable young Long Island leaders to establish True North.  The building was renovated and the church was launched with over three-hundred in average attendance in the first few months of the church.

Now, three years later, the church continues to grow and impact the community.  They currently have five services each Sunday with 750 in attendance.  They are currently looking toward buying a larger facility, or building new facilities for the growing congregation.

In 2008, 49 people were baptized and a fourth full-time staff member was added.  As the congregation grows, so does their commitment to live out their faith to the 3½ million people who call Long Island, New York, home.
